Visitation Policy

Same Day Surgery Center (SDSC) recognizes the value of family/support person interaction in the healing process. We are taking measures to prevent COVID exposure for patients, their support person, physicians, and staff so we may continue to provide a healthy environment and serve our community.
Our visitation guidelines follow.

1. All visitors are encouraged to wear a mask, especially in all common and public areas. Masks are available at the entrance of the hospital.

2. Depending on the waiting room capacity to accomplish social distancing, visitors or support persons could be asked to wait outside the facility. We ask that everyone practice social distancing to the extent that is practical.

3. Currently, we allow two family members/support persons with the patient who is having surgery or a procedure. If the patient requires special assistance during the stay, please discuss this with the nursing staff during your phone call before the surgery.

4. Presently, no overnight family member/support person allowed.

5. All patients and visitors are asked to screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the facility. If you have any symptoms, a pending COVID-19 test or recent contact with a COVID-19 positive person, you must not enter the facility. Please contact your physician’s office to reschedule.

6. All visitors must follow all personal protection equipment (PPE) directions from the care team, depending on the care needs of the patient.

7. Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when entering the building or patient’s room.

8. Visiting hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
